Itinerary
DAY 1:
WELCOME AND TRANSFER TO THE LODGE
Upon arrival at the airport, our guests will be greeted and transferred to our main headquarters. There, they can reorganize their luggage and safely store any belongings they don’t need. Afterward, we’ll head to the port to embark on an exciting journey along the Tambopata River. During the boat ride, guests will enjoy a delicious Amazonian box lunch while observing the rich wildlife along the riverbanks. Capybaras, herons, macaws, parrots, caimans, and turtles are just some of the fascinating animals we may encounter.
Upon arriving at the lodge, our resident manager will warmly welcome the guests and share essential information to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay.
Night Walk
As night falls, the mysterious world of the Amazon rainforest comes to life. Equipped with headlamps, we’ll venture into the forest, where nocturnal creatures take center stage. From insects, frogs, and snakes to the possibility of spotting night monkeys or even tapirs, every step reveals hidden jungle wonders. Despite the deep darkness, the starry sky, the glowing Milky Way, and the immersive sounds of the jungle make this an unforgettable experience.
Dinner at the Lodge
DAY 2:
LAKE AND HIGH-ALTITUDE ADVENTURES
Early Breakfast
To make the most of the day, we’ll start with breakfast before heading out to explore the lake, a vital ecosystem in the Amazon basin. Aboard our boat, we’ll search for giant river otters, an endangered species. As we navigate the lake, we’ll spot black caimans, hoatzins, and a wide variety of waterbirds, along with the lush vegetation surrounding this magical place.
Lunch at the Lodge
Scientific Tower
After a short rest, our naturalist guide will lead us to a 35-meter observation tower. From this platform, designed for studying flora and fauna, you’ll have the chance to admire the Amazon from a unique perspective. The panoramic views reveal canopy-dwelling bird flocks, macaws, eagles, and, with some luck, monkeys. This space also provides insight into how research impacts conservation efforts.
Nighttime Caiman Search
To end the day, we’ll attend a brief talk about the various caiman species inhabiting the region. Then, we’ll board a boat to embark on a nighttime expedition in search of these fascinating creatures. With luck, the reflection of their eyes in the water will mark the highlight of this adventure.
DAY 3:
BREAKFAST AND FAREWELL
After a final breakfast at the lodge, we’ll prepare for the return trip, taking unforgettable memories of our experience in the heart of the Amazon with us.
