Itinerary
Puerto Maldonado / Sandoval Lake
Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the port (Puerto Triunfo). From there, a 15-minute motorized boat ride down the Madre de Dios River will take us to our lodge. Once settled, we’ll prepare for a full-day visit to Sandoval Lake.
A short 10-minute boat ride from the lodge brings us to the dock on the shores of Sandoval Lake. We will enter the Tambopata Reserve “Sandoval Lake” with a one-hour hike through the rainforest. Upon arrival at the lake, we’ll board a paddle canoe for a peaceful ride, enjoying the stunning scenery and observing the diverse wildlife, including many birds and animals.
At midday, we will enjoy a traditional lunch brought from our lodge, eating right by the lake. After lunch, those interested can safely swim in Sandoval Lake.
Later, we will return to the lodge, followed by transportation back to Puerto Maldonado and your hotel.
